General information about diseases

Inflammation of the pancreas is a lesion of the pancreas that is triggered by the activation of enzymes in the organ. The most common causes of the disease include alcoholism, abuse of fatty foods, long-term use of strong medications, and stress.

The main symptoms of pancreatitis are nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, bloating and belt pain in the abdomen. In its advanced form, the disease develops peritonitis (inflammation of the stomach).

Cholecystitis is the development of an inflammatory process in the gallbladder. This is due to the presence of stone formations that block the bile duct. The result is a violation of the outflow of bile, the development of inflammation. Improper diet, overeating, and frequent constipation lead to inflammation of the gallbladder sooner or later.

Symptoms of gallbladder inflammation include pain in the right shoulder, fever, nausea, vomiting, and yellowing of the skin. In its advanced form, cholecystitis leads to the spread of the inflammatory process in the organs of the digestive system.

Diet is an important part of treatment

The diet for pancreatitis and gallbladder inflammation requires strict adherence to dietary rules.

There should be 5-6 small meals during the day. It is important that the total daily amount of food consumed by an adult does not exceed 3 kg. The daily allowable water consumption is 2-2, 5 liters.

The diet should be fortified with protein while consuming carbohydrates and fats. Smoked, fried, spicy and pickled foods are not included. The food must be cooked or steamed. Fatty, rich broths should replace lean vegetable soups.

In the stage of exacerbation of cholecystitis and pancreatitis, the food should be ground and consumed in the form of pasty mixtures.

List of products that can be used to treat inflammation of the pancreas and cholecystitis:

  1. Liquids: rosehip broth, weak tea without sugar (sweeteners can be used), non-carbonated mineral water, jelly, low-sugar and low-acid juices, weak coffee (allowed in case of pancreatitis).
  2. Bakery products: dried white or black bread, bran bread, durable, tasteless cakes, biscuits, bejgli.
  3. Dairy and fermented dairy products: cottage cheese and kefir with minimal fat content, light cheese, milk as part of other foods.
  4. First courses: vegetables, cereals, dairy products, pasta (dressing: 10 g sour cream or 5 g butter).
  5. Meat: beef, chicken fillet, quail, pigeon, sausage (allowed in case of gallbladder inflammation).
  6. Fish: low-fat varieties.
  7. Porridge, listed by usefulness: buckwheat, oatmeal, semolina and rice.
  8. Eggs: in the form of a white omelette, except for the yolk.
  9. Vegetables: potatoes, beets, carrots, green peas, cauliflower, pumpkin, non-sour white sauerkraut.
  10. Fruit: non-acidic varieties of apples and pears.
  11. Butter: butter, up to 30-40 g per day; olives up to 10-15 g per day.

During treatment, completely rule out:

  • fresh pastries and cakes;
  • cafe, sweet carbonated beverages, cocoa;
  • fatty meats, fats, livers, smoked meats, sausages, canned meats;
  • radishes, garlic, onions, legumes, radishes, mushrooms;
  • vegetables and fruits that have not undergone proper heat treatment;
  • fish and broths;
  • fatty fish;
  • sour berries and fruits, figs, bananas, citrus fruits;
  • alcoholic drinks,
  • chocolate, jam, ice cream and other sweets.

Breakfast

  • Steamed egg white omelette - 100-120 g.
  • Buckwheat porridge, oatmeal (optional), with the addition of boiled or milk, served in grated form -220 - 250 g.
  • Tea, weak coffee with the addition of milk - 150-200 g.

Dinner

  • First: vegetarian soup with vegetables (you can add pasta) - 400 - 500 g.
  • Second: steamed meatballs (slices) from low-fat meat or fish-100-120 g, mashed potatoes with the addition of butter-200-240 g.
  • Kissel or juice from non-acidic fruits - 150 - 200 g.

Snack

  • Oven baked apples, pears without added sugar - 100 - 130g.

Dinner

  • Cottage cheese souffle - 140-150 g with 10 g of sour cream.
  • Weak lemon tea - 200 g (has a calming effect on the pancreas).

Second dinner

  • Kissel juice based 150 g, kefir with a minimum fat content of 150 g - according to your choice.
